A long-time change agent for patient safety, John is a leading innovator of fall risk solutions used in healthcare. He formed Turun UK Ltd., in 1994 after founding Senior Technologies, a healthcare products company in the United States. Senior Technologies engineered and manufactured the WanderGuard® departure alert system for memory care. He launched the system in the UK, along with pioneering the Tabs® fall risk alert system. Senior Technologies sold WanderGuard® and Tabs® to more than 5000 care homes, and hospitals. In 2016, Tabs® monitors were replaced by the improved SafePresence® monitor. Transformative Stealth Sensor Pads were also introduced.
